Air Power Australia
The Australian Defence Force’s aviation services are in a period of important
transition as they move closer to becoming fully connected, thoroughly modern
21st century organisations. A number of new aircraft platforms have joined or are
in the process of joining all three services, making them as modern and capable
as any in the world.
It’s an exciting time for the RAAF, Navy and Army aviation units as these new
aircraft come on line. Some of the ‘classic’ types remain before being replaced
and the result is an interesting period where for the moment the old and the new
are operating side-by-side in some cases.
AIR POWER AUSTRALIA covers all the ADF’s aircraft and flying units including
civilian support aircraft. Historical background and much other information
completes a comprehensive reference source with wide appeal to industry and
military professionals, historians and aviation enthusiasts alike.
AIR POWER AUSTRALIA is written by recognised authorities Stewart Wilson
and Nigel Pittaway and profusely illustrated including colour profile drawings
by renowned aviation artist Juanita Franzi.
