Aircraft Made In Australia eBooks Released

Aero Austraia Made In Australia volumes one & two covers
Aero Australia Made In Australia volumes 1 & 2 covers.

Aero Australia is proud to announce the release of two exciting new eBooks telling the story of Australia’s important but often little-known aircraft manufacturing industry and the aircraft it built.

The Australian industry has built thousands of aircraft of many types over the decades, from ultralights to jet bombers and supersonic fighters and just about everything in between. Some have been local designs and others built under licence and in a number of cases their powerplants – both piston engines and jets – were also manufactured locally.

These books are a comprehensive reference to the Australian aircraft manufacturing industry, between them covering 30 types in detail plus special features summarising aircraft built in Australia for the Royal Australian Air Force (Volume 1) and during World War II (Volume 2).

Written mainly by Stewart Wilson, these stories were originally published as major feature articles in Aero Australia™ magazine between 2004 and 2019, covering the development, production, variants and service of the aircraft featured. Copiously illustrated, the text is supported by hundreds of photographs, drawings and tables,

Featuring new layouts and some new illustrations, the entries have been updated where appropriate to indicate their status as of late 2020. Find out more and get your copies!
